Note: Many of the paddles in the canoe photo above are the exact same shape and design as the silver and carved wood paddle pendants that are popular use as decoration on Native regalia and jewelry pieces. This shape and design have been used since ancient times and NO ONE can “own a copyright” on the design…. Especially a NON-Native person, such as the guy who claims to own the copyright of the paddle design. Of interest is that the guy admittedly knew nothing about Native culture or paddles prior to 2005.

One arrogant non-native man has the audicity to make the bogus claim that he “created the original paddle design” – and claims to have a copyright on the design. THAT is NOT possible unless the guy is several thousand years old. Yet he continues to claim that we have infringed on his copyright by having any paddle images on our websites. He has threatened us, demanded that we “remove all paddle images”. He has made charges against us to two webhosts and caused several of our main websites to be de-activated and completely removed.

He will think differently when the Coastal Tribes bring legal action against him for false claims of “owning” the ancient Native originated designs.
